Neutra Sorb™

Neutra Sorb™ is a specialty chemical formulation designed to aid the Poultry Farmer in their grow out of chicks to final market release. The product has been specifically designed to be used in conjunction with cellulose poultry bedding in place of more traditional bedding products.

As a preventative measure Neutra Sorb™ can be used to reduce the presence of bacteria in the chicken litter, decrease the levels of gaseous ammonia in the poultry barn, aid in the adsorptions of liquid waste and moisture, decrease the amount of vectors normally found in the poultry house, and over all increasing the comfort level of the flock.

Neutra Sorb™ can be topped sprayed over existing bedding or can be applied directly to the floor of the barn before new bedding materials are added. Neutra Sorb's™ unique and natural combination of ingredients work immediately in reducing trace and existing ammonia levels in the barn. Barns who have had a traditionally high amount of ammonia gassing will see declines of up to 90% immediately upon it’s application. This gaseous ammonia protection will last for up to 10 weeks after initial application ( depending on bird load and ventilation conditions).

Neutra Sorb™ when mixed in cellulose bedding, becomes an integral part of the bedding materials and acts as a slow release protection to the poultry flock.

Safe and Non Toxic

Through numerous field and independent laboratory studies Neutra Sorb™ is not carried over to the meat and or carcasses of the poultry flock. The materials in Neutra Sorb™ are safe for human contact and do not pose any toxicity tot e poultry flock when applied before or during grow out. The chemistry of Neutra Sorb™ also aids in the final composting of bedding materials as it allows the ammonia and phosphates trapped within the bedding to become a much slower released ammonia and phosphate source for field fertilization and composting. Materials having residual Neutra Sorb™ show no incidence of toxicity to soil biota and other animals that may over gaze in composted fields.

Ease of Application

Neutra Sorb™ is sold as a concentrated liquid which is added to water and sprayed through most conventional sprayers or rig sprayers in the Poultry House. Five gallons of product will treat on average 20,000 square feet of floor or poultry house space. When diluted and used properly, immediate results can be seen. There are no special sprayers or equipment required to treat a Poultry House. Mix, spray and go. New birds can be placed within four hours of the initial application allowing the product to be absorbed by the bedding materials in the poultry house. The product can also be used periodically while the birds are in the barn for problem areas, and as a prophylactic measure.

Application

The standard concentrate is mixed with tap water at a rate of 5 (five) gallons of product to 50 ( fifty gallons of water ). This standard mixture will cover an area of up to 20,000 square ft of floor space and should be applied as a general spray to the Poultry House floor or over the current bedding. Applications where bedding has been allowed to accumulate in depths greater than 4 ( four inches ) a use rate of 5 (five) gallon of product to 25 ( twenty five ) gallons of water should be considered. This increase in concentration will allow the materials to work deeper in the existing bedding materials and will allow for sufficient residual product to be available when the new flock begins to load the bedding materials with waste. Spraying the Poultry House during the grow out period can be done by using the 5 to 50 gallon of water ratio. This secondary treatment should be directed to areas in the Poultry House that have reduced ventilation or that have increased brooding or wet spots. If possible birds should be moved away from prayer while the secondary application is being made to achieve optimum coverage to the bedding and to reduce over spray on the flock. A simple one to two gallon lawn and garden sprayer can be used to accomplish this task easily.

Reduction of Ammonia Burns

Field test indicate that the use of Neutra Sorb™ in the Poultry Barn will significantly reduce or completely inhibit eye burns from gaseous ammonia where flocks have saturated their normal untreated bedding. Neutra Sorb’s™ ability to convert gaseous ammonia and to inhibit the formation of gaseous ammonia allows the Poultry flock to stay more comfortable on existing and new bedding materials without increases in closed areas from ammonia generated by their waste. In addition to lowered eye problems the use of the product also decreases blemishes and sores due to ammonia burns on the feet of the poultry flock giving those farmers a better “paw” for final sale. The same chemistry that slows the formation of gaseous ammonia also allows the bedding to be used with less side effects in a field after composting, without the “burning” of grass and trees typically experienced by untreated litter in the area of land application.

Improved Comfort of the Flock

Field and laboratory test indicate that reduced stress is found when Neutra Sorb™ is applied to bedding in the poultry house. With its inhibitory effects on bacteria in the Poultry House, reduced gaseous ammonia, improved moisture control Neutra Sorb™ adds increased comfort levels to the growing flock which has been indicated an increase in the feed conversion ratio of the flocks, reduce mortality due to high levels of bacteria or stressed induced diseases, reduce the incidence of burns both on feet and eyes, decrease the amount of exhaust ventilation required to remove ammonia levels, and improve the overall management of the flock before release to market.
